Someone told me that if my next child is a boy, I should be sure to name him something very masculine since my DD is Quinn - an ambigender name that leans boyish. They said if the boy was named something unisex, like Avery or Riley, that it would be bad for him, in the sense that he might get confused with gender.

I have no idea if this is true. What do you think?

What would be a good brothers name for Quinn then?

Carter, Bryson, Jordan.

More traditionally: Matthew, Andrew, Nathan, Mark

I dunno anything about the gender confusion, sorry.

I find quinn to be a feminine name. I see nothing wrong with a neutral gender name.

I say name your son with a masculine name or a unisex name. Don't listen to other people. Name him what you want to.

I agree! I personally never cared what anyone thought. Elle was our child and we named her! This time around I don;t even plan on telling them potential names since my Mom doesn't like any of them anyway!

name your baby whatever name you love most for them!

Thanks MamaB it is just the way it is with my Mom. The only one who I know would not criticize would be my MIL if you can believe that LOL
