If you saw my earlier post, we do not know yet what we are having, but pretty sure it will be another girl . Anyway, we have been pretty much set on the name Scarlett since I was 6 weeks pregnant, at first we liked the full name of Scarlett Isabella but everyone seems to be naming their daughter Isabella so I'm pretty much done w/ that now! I thought up Scarlett Rose over the weekend and really liked it and DH loved it too. We tend to lean toward victorian era type names. This will probably be the name if we do have another girl, WDYT?
Isabella is a more popular first name, but I think Rose is a hugely popular middle name these days. In the 80s, it was Lynn, Nicole, and Ann. Nowadays it seems to be Grace and Rose.
I really like Scarlett, though not enough to use it myself. I think it's a great name on someone else's kid. I just think Rose is overused as a middle name. Just MHO though.
Other than that, I think the combo sounds really pretty, though it does sound like a description. However, I'm the girl that tried to convince her husband that Raya Sunshine or Summer Meadow were good name combos. *shrug*
I love Scarlett, but Rose is one of my least favourite floral names. And also, as others have mentioned, it sounds more like a description than a name. That's the problem, with pairing two word names together!
