Last month we went to Ikea and there was a mom in line ahead of us that kept calling out to a group of children "Story, stay where I can see you!"

I was shocked when a little boy finally came back to her and started complaining that he never gets to do anything. Story is 100% girl to me

WDYT? Boy or girl?

I'd have to go with girl. I think very few of the word names can be pulled off by boys without a lot of teasing. A lot of the word names (story, cadence, etc) would be really sissy names on a little boy.

Neither, really.. I'd be kinda surprised if I heard it on either sex! IMO, it's not a name to me..

I like it, but I have it on my list for a boy. A celebrity has also used this for a boy (Debra Messing, I think).

Girl name. I had a friend in college who's name was Stori. She always introduced herself as "Stori, like a book" LOL. I can still hear her now.

I was going to go with boy, but I agree with keskes.

Actually Debra Messing named her son Roman. She might have another son though.

Whoops! I remembered it wrong. It's Jenna Elfman's son's name.
