So the title may be kind of confusing. What are some short two syllable names...names that could be arguably considered one syllable (I actually did a search for one syllable names and these were on the list):

Liam
Ian
Kian
Miles
Roan (Rowan)
Graham
Duane

Mia
Niamh (Neave/Neve)

Do you consider these names to be 1 or 2 syllables? Any others you can think of?

Miles is one
Duane is one

I try and pronounce Miles or Duane to make it one and I can't....I almost can with Duane but it sounds awkward...but I can't with Miles. I do agree on Graham though.

Miles might be two. It's kind of like "fire" - if you say it fast enough, it sounds like one, but if you pronounce it correctly it's two.

Duane I say like Dwain.. like drain with a speech impediment.
