Well, I thought we were so sure on a name, and now I'm wondering if I'm having second thoughts. We were set on Brianna, which I still love. We want to pronounce it Bree-on-uh, but I realized that it sounds so much like Rihanna. SO does not like Bree-ann-uh at all, so that's out of the question. And I also realize she is probably always going to be called Bree-ann-uh when people see her name. But I recently started loving the name Bria. It's cute and still very similar to Brianna.
So what do you guys think? Brianna or Bria? Or Brianna with Bria as a nickname? I think I may be leaning towards the last option...I love them both, just want some outside opinions! Thanks...
I'm not a big fan of nick names. I think Bria stands alone just fine, and doesn't need to be a nick name for something else. I don't dislike Brianna, but if it were me I'd skip the necessity of a nick name, and name her what I intended to call her. I voted for Bria.
I voted for Brianna, with Bria as a n/n, BUT I think I like Bria just as much as Brianna. I think Bria will make her a lot more unique - there are lots of Brianna's out there nowadays - so Bria will make her name more unique
Bria! Brianna is too dated and it's true that people will always be pronouncing it the wrong way because even I pronounced it Bre-ANNE-uh when I read your post. Bria is really cute and unique. I love that name.
I prefer Bria, however, if you really love the name Brianna and want to use it, maybe change the spelling so that it looks more like Bree-on-ah. I used to love this name when I was younger and wanted to spell it Briaunna
