It's nmsAA because it seems dated to me (went to school with several).. but I prefer Jillian.

I prefer Jillian, though I don't object to Gillian. The people I know who spelled it with a G were trying to avoid nicknames: Gillian Jenkins (they didn't want her called JJ), and another Gillian because they thought it would deter people from calling her Jill.
I think it's a pretty name.
