What do you think of this name?

How about as a middle name?

I really like it as a MN, DH however, say NO. How about...

Archer Valentine
Richard Valentine
Jacob Valentine
Vincent Valentine (Okay, that's a character name, but it's still GREAT! )

Oh, and how about for a girl? Would you use this as a girls name or MN?

I really like it but only as a middle name and I think it can work for a boy or girl. I would consider using it except I only use family names as mn. I like Archer and Jacob but I think Jacob is MUCH to common as a sibling for Kairi.

ETA: my opinions are based on the assumption that you are pronouncing it Valen-teen rather than Valen-tine (like the holiday).

Actually, if I was going to use it myself, the name I liked was for a girl - Quinn Valentine. Valentine being pronounced like the holiday. However, now that you've mentioned it, I do like it pronounced Valen-teen.

I was just wondering overall what people thought of the name since DH is so against it! He often says to me when we disagree about something "Well what do the mommies say?"

I think it could go either way for a girl. I like Quinn.

I would have pictured it on a girl. I do like it, but I don't think I would put it on a boy.

when I first saw the post I thought you were intending it for a girls name.. I like it, but not sure I would personally use it for a boys name

I can't get past the fact that Valentine's a day is totally a mushy girl holiday - it's not especially masculine. I could see it on the girl, but only as a middle name. If you used it as a first name, the lame / cheesy jokes alone might make her turn to violence. She'd hear "will you be my valentine?! har har" every single day.

Trust me. "Does your husband ever say 'Luke, I am your father?!'" Every. Single. Day.

I could see it as either. If I was in a position where I had to use it, I would only use it as a MN and probably for a girl.

I LOVE the name Archer!!!

I like it (especially as a middle name). I think it's masculine, so prefer it on a boy and pronounced like the holiday.

Valentine would work as a MN for a boy, IMO. Archer's a cute name and I think that combo would work!

For a girl.... how about Valentina? I think that's a more feminine alternative to Valentine.
