I think it's interesting that many of their boy top 10 are names I would consider nicknamish (Alfie, Charlie, Harry) I don't think Alfie will ever catch on in the US
Their girls names tend to end in the -ee sound and ours in the -ah -uh sound.
Very interesting. I don't think we wil be seeing a bunch of Poppys here either. I think our high % of Spanish speakers would find that to be a really odd name.
And no I won't be moving to England anytime soon. Lydia is just to darn popular there.
I really like Alfie too but DH doesnt and I don't think it really works here in the US. I'm surprised Jessica is so popular over there now since it seems to have fizzled out here (I was surprised how long it was popular here.. I thought it was only popular in the 80s until I went and looked it up).
