Hey everyone,

What do you think of the name Demi for a girl? I came across this name recently and I just wanted to know what you guys thought of it. Do you think that it could stand on its own as a first name or do you think it sounds more like a nickname? If you think of it more as a nickname, what would the first full name be? Right now, I'm not sure what I think, but I do like Demi Elizabeth or Demi Marie. Finally, would you ever use this name on your child?

Thanks for the feedback

Hmm it has more of a n/n feel to me. the only 'full' name I can think of to have a n/n of Demi is Demeter

Demetria (which uses Demeter as the root) is the typical full name for Demi. I really don't think it can stand alone, but it's a cute nick name. I like it, but I like other names a lot more, so I probably wouldn't get around to using it personally.

I really like it! There aren't very many short girls names I like but I do like Demi. I would love to meet a little Demi!

Demi is pretty cute. I would rather see it short for Demetria, which I think is a gorgeous name that no one uses, but it is pretty cute alone (Demi Moore, Demi Levato)

i personally prefer it on its own. It's not a name I would pick for my own children but I think its cute.

I think it is a cute nn, but I agree it seems unfinished as a full first name. I wouldn't use it though.
