WDYT of Addisyn Grace, as a standalone name, and as a sibset with Gabrielle?
I wanted Emersyn Grace, but Jason says he thinks Emersyn is more of a boys name (fair enough, it definately can be a boys name!) - but Grace is the name of his Nana who died when he was younger.... He mentioned Addisyn the other night, and I just thought of Addisyn Grace...
I like Addison but prefer the traditional spelling....especially since you went with the traditional spelling of Gabrielle. I think most people will know she is a girl when they read her name (so that you don't need to change an I to a Y) because there will be enough female Addisons in her generation. Now, if you were going with Cameron, I could understand the spelling of Camryn because it's still a very androgynous name.
I think Addison goes OKAY with Gabrielle. Addison is pretty but Gabrielle is ultra-feminine. I think another ultra-feminine name might go better with Gabrielle.
I think the only thing that raises a red flag is if you plan to nn her. Gaby and Addi is a little matchy for my taste. Though you said you don't like nick names, so this is probably a moot point anyways. Just something to think of.
I prefer Madison to Addison, but neither are really my style. I've never liked the idea of "son" names on kids when it doesn't match the dad (i.e. Addison means "child of Adam" and seems weird to me when daddy is Jason).
Of course this is all just my opinion, and doesn't really matter at all, lol.
I think it's adorable! And I think it goes well with Gabrielle.
The only thing I'd think about is the popularity. Not only is Addisyn/Addison popular but Grace is the new Lyn so not only will she have other Addisyn/Addisons in her class but probably one or two others named Addisyn Grace.
