I was sort of surprised by their choice, Mackenzie (or any varient) seems like more of a mainstream/trendy name than I would have thought they'd pick. It's a normal name that perhaps any young 20-something couple might pick and I thought that perhaps they'd pick a more old standard/plain name and/or a biblical name. I read that they haven't yet decided whether they'll name all of thier children with "M" names. However, they do believe, like JimBob and Michelle that they will have as many children as God will allow them. BTW it's called the QuiverFull Movement, check it out QuiverFull.com. Best of luck to them. I love the Duggars!

Yeah, I'm surprised they didn't go with a more traditional or Biblical name. They picked a trendy name AND a trendy spelling. I much prefer the MacKenzie spelling and the name is just okay, imo.

It's okay. I wonder if he "M" is for Michelle, since Jimbob has all the "J"s, LOL!

I don't like the name McKenzie (no matter how it's spelled) for a girl at all (the "Mc/ Mac" prefix is the Irish/ Scottish equivalent to "son of"). Renee is ok, though unisex.

I dislike it. I hate Mackenzie for a girl. It means "son of Kenneth". The spelling is also pretty bad, in my opinion. Renee is ok... but rather blah.
I was hoping they would go for a traditional biblical name.
Congrats to them though.
