What are some of your "off limits" names? For instance:

• Names that were used by a relative, close friend, co-worker
• A name you like but reminds you too strongly of someone, like an ex.
• Names that your friends/family members have already "called" to use.
• Any other kind of circumstance where you wouldn't use a certain name.

I'd have to say I don't have any, since I don't really mind that much if someone near me named their kid what I did. I don't necessarily like it.. but I'm not going to eliminate a name I love just because someone else used it.

Funny, I was going to make a similar post b/c I really like the names Coleman and Haven but can't use either because we had a creepy teacher in highschool who's last name was Coleman and the city I live in is called ______ Haven.

-Trendy names
-Names ending in -son for girls
-Masculine names for girls (although I LOVE the name Morgan which is my daughter's middle name. I had to use something more feminine for the first name.)

Names that are trendy or too popular unless they are classic, then they may be used as a MN.
Names of family, friends or relatives. I want my baby to be the only person I know with their name.
Names beginning with an "R" since that is the first letter of our last name.
Names that I associate with people that I have bad memories of or people I generally dislike.

*Names of an Ex or anything related to that Ex-which I am kinda urked about because they include Jamison, Jake, & Logan...names that I may have used.

*Names that I just really dislike such as- Leslie, Celeste, Libby, Eliza, & Elizabeth for some reason I dislike these names greatly mostly because of bad association & a few are because of the way they sound & make me think of Molest or Boogers.

*Any name that could be shortened into an embarassing nickname such a Billy-bob, Jim Bob etc...

The only one I can think of off the top of my head is Sutton. Its DH's best friends last name which would be great if he didn't hate his father(who also shares the last name).
