Wdyt of it? Can it be carried off as a first name? Would it age well?

I would love to use Fox as a middle name but I only use family names...

There's a mama who posts on one of the same boards as me (I think she's made an appearance here too, actually). Her kids are Phoenix Madeline and Lincoln Fox. I think that makes a completely awesome sibset. While I don't typically like Lincoln, I do like the way she paired the names and made them compliment each other. Simply brilliant. I do like Fox, but I see it more as a middle name.. I think it would age fine, but it's not especially "professional."

I used to watch Passions and it was one of the sexy character's names. I'm embarrassed to admit that. It's a nice name for a middle one.

I prefer Fox as a first name myself... but DH and I are HUGE fans of good old X-Files.

I like it. It would take the right little boy to fill the shoes of this name.

It'd be cute as a middle name.

Send a message via AIM to carlyheartsphil
I think it could work on its own (fits in the River, Forrest etc. cat.) but works better as a mn.

I LOVE Fox! I've had it on my list for years. It's so handsome, would love to see it used as a FN.

I like it only as a mn.

I wouldn't use it as a fn because:
1. (As Kes pointed out) It doesn't look/sound professional
2. He'll get "Sly like a Fox" comments, which is NOT a positive association
3. If he's especially attractive, he'll get chuckles when he introduces himself and if he's somewhat unattractive (although I doubt this would happen to your baby given your cutie DS1), he'd get chuckles cause it's like calling a big man "Tiny".

I like the name, just not as a fn!
