My other question is would it be wrong to choose a name that didn't start with a K for this baby? My oldest two girls both have first names starting with a K, my younger two both have middle names starting with a K. If dh and I can't agree on a middle name for this baby that starts with a K, well, would that be okay?

I didn't plan on always having names with a K, I just liked the sound and look of these names. I love K names. So, it just kind of happened.

Thanks ladies!!!!

Some ladies here will tell you that they should match. I'm gonna say they don't have to. I refuse to limit my name choices, or exclude names I love, just because they don't fit a "theme." But having that theme (or keeping an unintentional one), is important to a lot of people. You're the only one who can really decide that.

My kids are Luke and Lauren - the same letter part was unintentional. I feel no need for my next baby to be an L.

I think only you are going to notice if you stick w/ it or not

I have a similar issue w/ my kids names (involves syllabels and nn's) and I'm 98%sure only DH and I are the ones that notice (I don't think the kids even realize it, LOL). Go w/ whatever feels right for you!

I don't think you need to continue using K names. Only the first 2 have first names that start with K so unless you point it out I don't think anyone will notice that the 5th child doesn't have a K somewhere in the name.

I say only use names you love. Don't fit your names into a mold

I don't think it matters. Most people never use their middle names and friends and classmates only know it if you tell them. So since so few people will know your younger girls' middle names, the theme isn't obvious at all. I'd just go with what you like in this case

If all of their FIRST names started with a K I'd be inclined to say use another K...but most people don't know that your two younger daughters middle names start with a K....therefore it doesn't appear that you have a theme. I would say use any letter you like.

I don't think it matters that much. I personally would stick with it. Although if you're having another girl, my favorite K name is Kacie. That pairs well with names.

I think I'm the one who has the problem with it - LOL! I feel that not using a K name for another child is wrong. So, I guess I'll either have to convince dh to use the K names I like or find a really awesome non K name and get over it
