i found out today that i am having a girl! i had a boy name all set but we are stuck on girl names. i seem to like names that can be either boy or girl (like emerson). i dont like things that are real girly sounding or fanciful. i refuse to use common names because my name is common and i hated being one of many.

i could use all the help i could get. right now our possible options are:
grayson
eli (pronounced like the boy name, not ellie)

but we arent in love with either and are struggling to come up with other ideas. also, i dont think names that end with the letter "r" will work since the last name ends with an r and it sounds weird together.

we can use all the help we can get!!! thanks!!

Hey Kristen
Not sure if you read the names I suggested the other day but regardless...here are some other suggestions...also, I don't remember if you said the other day what you were planning on using for a middle name?

Shia/Shya
Eden (love this w/ Emerson)
Brenna
Isis
Harlow
London
Rhea
Sage

I think you mentioned awhile ago that you like Berlin? Is that out??

i read your suggestions the other day...i thought i replied but maybe i didnt with jm being so slow i gave up on replying to things after a while.

my good friends daughter is named eden, and i like the name but not the reference to christianity, since i am an athiest. its funny you suggested sage, because my mom suggested that today. brad nixed it though. i have never thought of berlin before...i think you must be thinking of the name brynn...thats what i had suggested. i kind of like it but i dont know if brad will cuz he is usually against "location" names.

he is making this very difficult. heh men.

Charlotte is a beautiful name.

Your names are not my style, but I don't think you should repeat the -son ending. And Ellie would be beautiful instead of using a boy name. Good luck
