I haven't spent much time on this board in a long time, so I noticed some names I hadn't seen before and was just wondering how these are pronounced. Thanks!

Ariadne - Ar-ee-AHD-nee
Xanthe - ZAN-thee or ZAN-thuh
Ianthe - Not positive, but pretty sure it's ee-ANN-thee or ee-ANN-thuh

mostly because I love Irish names, but I'm not the least bit Irish anywhere (though my paternal grandmother's section of the tree is from Wales) so I would feel strange using one that's obviously very Irish (i.e. Seamus or Niamh ). But I still love to hear them, and I like to know my options - I could easily name my son "Owen" and just happen to spell it Eoghan.
