Dh's grandpa's name is Jack Henry. I absolutely LOVE it! However, I'm not 100% comfortable with using it as I think Jack is a little close to my son's name Max. (I could see myself calling them Mack and Jax all the time. LOL.)

So, of the variations of his name, which do you like the best? (I threw Owen in there because we love it and then we could just use two middle names.)

If we used Jackson, I could try calling him Jack and see if I (and other people) get it mixed up with Max.

TIA ladies!

I voted for Owen Jack Henry. He'll have his own name and the full name of the grandfather. Win win.

I picked Owen Jack Henry.

I really don't care for Jackson, and drastically prefer just Jack. And if you think you're gonna mix up Jack and Max (I know I probably would), then you may just a likely end up with Maxson.

I like Harrison, but I don't think it sounds quite right paired with Jack. Harrison is soft and flowy, while Jack is short and hard. Harrison Jack feels like it stops when it should keep going. No idea if that makes any sense.

Owen Jack Henry is a great name. Owen Henry would work. Owen Jack not as much.. I guess I don't like Jack as a middle name, or at least not as the only middle name. Just sounds funny to me.

Owen Jack Henry is definitely the best... but I like it better as Owen Henry Jack. I just think that flows better.

Yeah, I know what you mean about Harrison Jack - flowy vs short & hard. I just like the 3-syllable with the 1-syllable name. That gives it a good flow to me. That's what we did with DS's name, just the other way around with the 1-syllable name first: Max Anthony.

So, two people have suggested Owen Henry. But, I don't like the -wen & Hen- syllables back to back. They rhyme. That was my issue with naming Max as Maxwell with our surname. His name would have been Maxwell Wal---. I didn't like the -well Wal- back to back.

Owen Jack Henry is the clear winner thus far though.

Thank-you everyone for your input!

How about just Henry Jack? Henry and Max are very different from one another.

If you went with Jackson Henry you'd end up calling him Jack anyway then your back where you started with a Jack and Max. I vote Owen Jack Henry.

I love the name Henry but I think only as a mn. If we went with Harrison, I could use Henry as a nn and see if I like it. But, I'd still want the other option - the full name of Harrison.
