The other day I was thinking about names (of course) and how I would really like to use Eden for a middle name. Then I realized if we name her Jemma Eden that her initials would spell out her nickname. Our last name starts with M, thus her intials would be J E M and if we use Jemma, we know she'll get called Jem. I thought that was kind of cool but maybe I'm just being a cheesy corn ball?

I think it's cute if you love the name Jemma. I wouldn't pick a name JUST because of the initials. But if you love Jemma then go for it.

Jemma Eden is pretty cute, by the way.

My second DD (Tessa) was very nearly Jemma so it's been on my list for quite awhile

Hubs is my biggest road block b/c he keeps complaining that he doesnt want the name to end in "a" like our other 2 girls

Yeah, that is a cute idea for a name. Someone I know had the initials MEG which was her nickname too since her name's Megan.

I think it is really neat. If you are cheesy then I am an entire block of cheese

Example A: Did you see my initials post a couple of days ago? http://www.justmommies.com/forums/f8...yn-tamren.html (Help me choose a middle name for Tamryn/Tamren)

I think Jemma is pretty and goes with your girls names very well. Great idea in my book!

I think it's really cool. My husband and I considered the name Ava Victoria when I was pregnant with our daughter. We liked it a lot because our last name ends in an A so her name would be her initials.

I like it, but I like Gemma better. Then her nickname could be Gem. (pronounced the same way, of course).
