DH and I have very similar naming styles so it's rare if we disagree on a name but the other day I brought up Henry to him and he took a minute and then said 'It would be a nice middle name" So I kind of said oh.. ok! Back to the thought pot! lol
Raean, 32 - wife to Colby, 38 (6.25.16) & mom to Chloe (1.31.03) & Savanna (8.26.05), TTC #3!
1. "I like it" (not overly excited....he never gets excited )
2. "Hmm..." (and he thinks for a minute) "yeah...that could grow on me"
3. "SUTTON!- are you KIDDING me! As in (insert negative association here)" I used Sutton as an example but he finds negative association/jokes for EVERY name that he doesn't like.
DH has basically refused to talk named with me anymore until we are actually pregnant. But he has a very different naming style than I do, and he usually goes "Ugh, what kind of a name is that??" or, if he doesn't really HATE it, he'll go "Um, I could never see myself with a kid named that"
We're gonna have serious problems if our next is a girl...we don't agree on any girl names at all.
ME: What do you think about the name...
HIM: "Oh LORD here we go again!"
ME: "Fine I won't tell you"
HIM: "Just tell me"
ME: "Camilla" (just an example)
HIM: NO! (or if he does like it) "Hmmm....interesting"
The only time I know if he really likes a name is when I mention another name and he says "What happened to Kaia?" (another example)
Cortney...mom to A, C, E, L, I, and R
My SO and I are wttc for a while, and he practices his selective deafness about 50% of the time i bring any names up he is very simple when we do talk about it, though. its either okay or terrible....he has some crazy excuse for so many names!
i just get a yes or no response. he NEVER brings the topic up and it's like pulling teeth to get him to actively engage in this topic. he made such a stink about getting to chose the mn for this baby, and yet he took FOREVER to decide on what he wanted.
