Wdyt of the name itself? Do you think it's feminine, masculine or gender neutral?

I can't see it on a girl, just a boy. I don't really like it, either. =/

I think s/he would get really tired of hearing "Houston, we have a problem" day in and day out. Not that I can talk about saddling a kid with such a reference.. "Luke, I am not your father" got old a loooong time ago.

very true. I feel that I've probably condemed my child to 4 years of stoner references during highschool. We just loved the name so much though.

Melinda- you could always use it as a middle name if you didn't feel comfortable using it as a first name. I have a similar issue...I LOVE the name Haven but can't use it b/c my own home town has the word Haven in it...I guess it'd be a bit odd.

I see it for a boy only. It's ok but I prefer Boston (keeping w/ the place names).

Yes, it's all boy to me. I'm not a fan of it. Yeah, I prefer even Boston, London, Brooklyn - although I'm not a fan of place names, in general.

I see it on a boy, not a girl. I knew a boy whose name was Houston. But, living in Houston... I wouldn't use it

I definitely can't see it on a female, it's masculine to me. I wouldn't USE it, myself, but kinda like it.
