I really like the idea of naming a kid something that means something cool in another language. Like the whole "Suri" idea. I actually love the name Suri and would use it if not for it being a celebrity name. Is there any names you know of that mean like pretty, or sister, or flower, etc. in a different language?

Jocelyn is in our top 2 for a girl. We'd use the nn Jolie. Joli means pretty in french. It goes well with Isabella, nn Bella.

That's the only one I know off of the top of my head.

Brisa - Spanish for Breeze
Fleur - French for Flower
Bonnie - a mostly archaic term meaning "pretty one"
Bonita - Spanish for pretty
Joli - French for pretty

Those are the only languages I know.

I'm not really sure about names meaning different things in different languages. But I do know that Sarah and Sadie also mean princess. Sadie would be a nice substitute for Suri

Hmm... Thank you. I will have to let some of these grow on me, which I had to do with Suri as well. Some of them are very unusual, but also very pretty and I can see myself really getting into.
