My husband suggested the name "Malone" today. WDYT? What are some possible nicknames? Also, our last name begins with an "n", do you think that is a big deal with the 'n' sound ending his first name? I hope that makes sense!

I don't think the double N sound is a big deal as long as your last name only has one N. "Malone Nieves" works, but Malone Ninchin is a little too much N for my taste.

The name Malone reminds me of a country song called "Private Malone" but it was a good song, so that's not a bad thing at all. It's not my personal style, but it's not bad.

Malone really doesn't appeal to me much as a first name. Seems 100% surname to me. Our surname starts in M and I avoid all names that end with an M. I don't like the way names blend together when that happens.

The only nn I can think of for Malone is Mo.

Its NSMAA and I think the double N might make it awkward.

I agree with whoever mentioned Private Malone.. NMSAA. I also think it would be awkward with any number of N's in the surname.
