Hi everyone.. just after opinions... which do you prefer out of Mackenzie or just Kenzie - for a little girl?

DS is named Malachi - so im temped to short list Kenzie.. as I want to avoid the all names starting with the same letter thing.. but I love the way Mackenzie sounds.. then we can just shorten to Kenzie...

I have Luke and Lauren, and I don't intend to use another L. I don't think it's necessary, but I understand not wanting to get stuck in the pattern. I debated about the L thing for a couple months.

I like both names, but I think Kenzie is fine on it's own. Mac is masculine anyways, so Kenzie just leaves it as being feminine.

I prefer Kenzie by itself. I also think it's more feminine.

I don't know if you are looking, but you might like the name Keziah / Kezia (kah ZYE ah rhymes with Mariah)

Keziah and Malachi sound wonderful together too.

I don't like MacKenzie for a girl, because it means "son of Kenneth".

I agree with PinkSunset on going with Keziah instead.

i like MacKenzie bc it ages a little better than Kenzie alone, and people will probably call her Kenzie anyways! its a popular name but i still like it.

I like Kenzie. One of my friends just named her daughter Kenzie Kate - it's adorable and very catchy!

I have a Mackenzie. Most people do call her Kenzie without even asking which she prefers.

I think Malachi and Mackenzie flows really well together.
