I am SO torn between Aiden & Landon.. I love both! DH is also a fan of both, and one day prefers Aiden.. then today hes like hmm.. I do like Landon lol

How do you decide when you can't decide? (that made no sense but you may know what I mean haha)

I guess I'll hope for a girl? lol

Christen makes a good suggestion.

You could also select a small group of family and friends that you trust and respect their opinions and see what they have to say.

Or, you could put a poll in this forum to see which is seen more favorably by people from the general public.

I think Christen is right, wait until you meet him and then see which name fits. I did this with my dd, I had a short list of 3 boys names and 3 girls names and the second she was placed in my arms I turned to my sister and said; She's an Olivia.

And if all else fails flip a coin.

BTW; both great choices.

I agree that waiting is a good idea....if you can do it. I wouldn't be able to but I'm anal and have to have things planned eh...if it were me I'd probably choose the less common of the two.

I agree about waiting. Though.. in my case, we had Luke's name picked months in advance, and stuck with it. Then we had a list of names to choose from for Lauren, and she didn't fit any of them! I'd still wait.

One girl in these parts took her baby (after he was born) to the airport and when people asked his name she'd give one of the two names, and alternate it. Then she picked the one people acted more favorably towards. I don't think you need to wait until the baby is born though. Most people see a pregnant woman and ask when you're due, what you're having, and what the name is.

I would also bring both names to the hospital. You'll know when you meet your baby.

I agree on waiting until you meet your baby if you really can't decide. (I wouldn't be able to wait, though! My DD's name was picked out when I was about 5 weeks pregnant )

BTW, my brother's best friend has two little boys named Aiden and Landon.

That was me! lol I waited til the birth and then was more confused than ever. Our son wasn't officially named for three months (after the airport experiment) I wish I had thought of that during the pregnancy!

Anyway, if you can't decide, and both names flow equally well with your last name, I'd choose the less common of the two

I think that once you are pregnant it may be easier to decide. I know I couldn't settle on just one name till I found out I was pregnant with a girl the first time.

the airport idea is fun if there wasnt so much swine flu! yeck!

i have 3 names we love...and we cant decide. when we meet her thats when we plan to decide. so you can take bets amongst yourselves as to which name you think we'll actually go with

sometimes people even go to the hospital with a list and come out with a totally different name...my sister had the name Jasmine picked out..forever....she called her little fetus Jasmine the whole pregnancy. she came home with Savannah

ps i love both names so i cant help you there! sound wise, I love Aiden best. if the popularity of it doesnt bother you i like it best. if you want something a little different id go with Landon!
