My husband and I have pretty much settled on Ian for a boy, but I can't think of many great middle names to go with it. Our last name is Jeffery.

Any suggestions?

The first thing that popped into my head was Connor.

Really, though, I think any name that doesn't start with an N would sound just fine. Are there any other names that you like?

I know two Ians - Ian Matthew and Ian Nathaniel. I think almost any name out there sounds good with Ian.. it's one of those names that you can't really go wrong with.

Ian Joseph popped in my head but I don't think that sounds good with your LN.

I think any longer name that doesn't end in an "n" sound would work well.

Ian Christopher
Ian Alexander
Ian Patrick
Ian Edward
Ian Fredrick
Ian Douglas
etc.

I love the name Ian, great choice! When I was pregnant with my son, Wyatt, our other top contender was Ian Maxwell...so I like that a lot!
I like names that don't start with vowels and don't start with N to go with Ian.

How about:

Ian Spencer Jeffery

Ian Garrett Jeffery

Ian Blake Jeffery

Ian Cole Jeffery

Ian Beckett Jeffery

Ian Graham Jeffery

Ian Reid Jeffery

Ian Grant Jeffery

Ian Gabriel Jeffery

Ian Brock Jeffery

Ian Bryce Jeffery

Ian Luke/Lucas Jeffery

Ian Miles Jeffery

Ian Chase Jeffery

Thanks for the suggestions, ladies!

I like Connor, but my husband shot that one down. I also like Nathaniel. Not sure how I feel about ending with N and starting with N, but it doesn't seem to hurt the flow too badly. Alexander could also work. I like the idea of a longer name, since Ian is so short.

Honestly, I think Ian sounds great with a number of names! I don't think it needs a long middle name, but I get why you want one.
I like the suggestion of Ian Thomas. That's really nice!
Ian Alexander has too many 'N' sounds to me and Ian Nathaniel sounds like it all runs together since Ian ends in N and Nathaniel begins with N.

Ian Hunter Jeffery
Ian Bradford Jeffery
Ian Tanner Jeffery
Ian Chandler Jeffery
