Is the repetitive A sound too much? I really just don't like Annabelle (I don't like the hard ending)
I would like to use some variation of Anna. We had considered and still are considering a mashup of my grandmother's name, Anna Lane, to AnnaLane or AnaLaine
But when you say Analaine to people they always assume and hear "Anne Elaine" and I have lots of problems with the name Elaine (not a good association at all). It also ends in a hard sound like Annabelle
So thoughts on AnnaBella/Annabella? Other suggestions? I don't want to go so much with Isabella as I really want to use the Anna part for my grandmother
ANY middle names that come off the top of your head?

Annabella is okay, but I do prefer just Annabelle. It makes no sense as I also like the name Arabella.
What about Anastasia or Anneliese?

Annabella is very pretty
Annabella James (I think it's perfectly suitable for a female mn when paired with a feminine first name)
Annabella Jane
Annabella Elise
Annabella Rosalie
Annabella Corrine

Now WHY would both of us like the names and Jane and Rosalie!?
I actually saw an Isabella Marie the other day somewhere here on JM.
No Annabella Renesmee?

Hey....just trying to suggest names you might like...a mere coincidence that they so happen to be names of Twilight characters
Our future dd's mn will be James which is both mine & DH's grandfather's name....it was just pointed out to me the other day that it's Kristen Stewart's mn :O as if people didn't think I was obsessed enough already.

It IS her middle name, plus the obvious Vamp James, but I think it's just a cool cool female name for sure. I like Annabella and it's not a Twilight thing, although I'm sure someone will think it is. I can't say that it HURTS the cause in any way though!

I personally really like Annabella!!! And I don't think it is overuse of A's, unless you were planning on using say 'Annabella Anika' or 'Annabella Alyssa' etc...

I don't think it's too many A's unless you're trying to stay away from frilly It sounds like the ultimate girly girl princess name to me.

Well that's good cause I like the super girly feminine feeling of it
My worry is that it crossed the line into excessive and distracting instead of girly

I like the name Annabella. It is super-girly, but if the person with the name finds it to be too much, she has a load of nicknames to choose from - Anna, Annie, Bella, etc.
I don't think it has too many A's, just don't use a middle name that begins with A.
Annabella Clare / Annabella Claire
Annabella Clarice
Annabella Faith
Annabella Faye
Annabella Jane
Annabella Judith
Annabella June
Annabella Maria
Annabella Marie
Annabella Phoebe
Annabella Rosemary
Annabella Sophie
Annabella Vivian

I think it is pretty! Many nice nickname options as well.
Some mn ideas:
Annabella Greer
Annabella Kate
Annabella Colette / Cosette
Annabella Pearl
Annabella Briony
Annabella Harper
Annabella Eve

Annabella is really not my style but it's abundance of A's has nothing to do with it.
I would suggest a one syllable name if you wanted to cut down on some of the frill. PP's have already suggested some good ones.
Have you considered Anella/ Annella ? Annella | Name Meaning & Origin | Girl Name Annella | Baby Names World

It's pretty! I don't see a problem with the A's.

Annabella is pretty, but it's quite a mouthful. I think it pairs nicely with a short middle name, but it's important to consider your surname, too. Is it long? Annabella Dombrosky for example would be a lot tougher than Annabella Jones.
Have you considered names with Anna as the second syllable? Brianna, Arianna, Abrianna, Adrianna, Alanna...
Anna is pretty by itself, too and would pair nicely with a lot of mn and last names. Read this on unique middle names, it gave us some really good ideas for mns.

Annabella is too frilly for me, but I'm not into any names that end in 'A' really. If you are looking for something super frilly then it's perfect!
Annabelle for some reason makes me think of a cow. Is that from some TV show?? Not sure.

Well, my baby is named Arabella, so naturally I would LOVE Annabella! I think it's gorgeous. We chose a one syllable middle name to go with Arabella because it seems like such a big name anyways. There are lots that would be really pretty with Anabella. Another name that would end with Anna would be Lilianna. I love that name and am trying to get DH to like it too if we're having a girl this time.

Thanks Stacey! I still like Arabella too, wondering if my hubs would come over towards that one
