I love it.
Our 2nd son is Albert Emanuel IV. Obviously, a family name. I cringed at the idea of calling a baby "Albert" but I really liked Emanuel.
Sometimes we call him Manny. We didn't plan to. I didn't really like the nn Manny but it just sort of happened.
Every Christmas season, I feel warm and fuzzy that his name is Emanuel. LOL!

I have always had Emanuel on my long list for boys. Recently I have been loving it more and more. It really is a handsome name, and since I have a thing for 7 letter names, I think I would go with the Emanuel spelling. That and I really really don't care for the name "Emma" being in there with the double M.

Londa,
Donovan is a great name! I would totally put it on my list if I were having a boy! It's a girl though, and with 6 weeks left to my due date- she is still nameless!

Emanuel is my nephew's name.

We call him E-Man as a nickname. I always think it's cute, like a little kid superhero name 'E-Man to save the day!'

It is on the short list as a mn if we have another boy, but I don't really care for it as a first name. LOVE it as a mn though! And I prefer the double MM spelling.

I love this nickname. I was wondering how you could shorten the name in a more original manner than Manny.
