We're having a surprise in July/August and really can't agree on any names. DH is more into trendy names and he suggests things like Kayla and Chase (which is how we ended up with Brayden, I caved since he was our first son). I like names that are older but coming back in, especially for girls (I like Lila and Stella, I'd name a boy Caleb or Seth).

We have middle names chosen already - Ruth and Vincent. What would you suggest to go with those to make a nice set with our DS's name - Brayden Vaughn?

I like Caleb Vincent and Lila or Stella Ruth. I think Caleb and Lila would be a great compromise between trendy/popular and classic. Other suggestons:

Isabella Ruth
Victoria Ruth
Lillian Ruth
Julia Ruth
Audrey Ruth
Alexandra Ruth
Amelia Ruth
Lydia Ruth
Violet Ruth
Delilah Ruth (I think this could be a great compromise and goes well with Brayden)

I'll come back later w/ boy names

I tried to pick names that are more popular but also classic so it would fit both of your styles...

Thank you all for the suggestions. I heard a name today that I like and DH didn't immediately shoot down - Emmett! I am even tempted to recycle DH & DS's mn again if we chose it, all 3 of the would share the same mn then. Emmett Vaughn sounds better to me than Emmett Vincent. Or maybe it would be Emmett Vance. We'll see.

For a girl I actually do like Olivia Ruth a lot (though I'd probably call her Liv). I hate how popular it is but with us already having a Brayden I guess I need to get over that huh.
