My mothers name was Suzanne and I was wanting to honor her if we have a boy
Do you think Zan/Zann (z-an) work?
Or do you think there are better names for a boy somehow using Suzanne as a part of it?
Any ideas?
thanks

It might be a bit of a stretch but I think Zander/Xander would work...and I personally prefer that with Zan as a nickname....however I think Zan could stand alone.

Yeah, I like the idea of using Zander, nn: Zan rather than just Zan.

Or, what about Zane? It's 4 of the last 5 letters in her name.

I think Zane or Zander are better than Zan as a full name... but the idea of honoring your mother is great!

Zane or Zander are stronger stand alone names IMO You could also honor your mother by taking her first and middle initials and looking for a first and middle name that started with those letters. That is what we are thinking of doing in honor of my Dad when we have baby #2. Or, you can look at her birth month, and find connections that way. My dad was born in May, which has the birthflower lily of the valley. Some ideas we've thought of using were Mae as a mn, or Liliana as a first name in honor of him. Just trying to give you some other ideas in case you decide against Zan/Zander/Zane!
