We've decided if we're having a boy, we want to try to use the name Jackson. It was the family surname of both mine and DFs grandparents, so BOTH our mums maiden names! Freaky or what lol! The trouble is, our surname is Storm, so to use Jackson as a middle name would mean Firstname Jackson Storm. It doesn't seem quite right to me? So we've shortened it to Jack.
I quite like Riley Jack Storm - but does it go with Tyler Jay Storm? I also can't picture Riley as a teenager name, or adults name, maybe that's just me? What else do you think I could use instead of Riley?
Thanks in advance

While I think Riley Jack sounds fine and goes well with Tyler Jay, I prefer Jackson since it was both of your mom's maiden name...how cool is that

I prefer Jackson Riley. When I hear Riley as a fn, I always wonder if it is a boy or a girl because it is being used by both now.

I can actually understand what you say when Jackson Storm doesn't sound right to you - when I say it outloud, it doesn't to me either? I think, for me, it has something to do with the s in Jackson and the s in Storm, something in there doesn't flow right to me. I do love the name Jackson, however... but would probably go with Jack. I like Jack Storm! I also like Riley Jack.

I love Jackson Riley Storm! But Riley Jack is nice too. It is kinda hard for me to picture a 35 yr old man named Riley at the moment but that doesn't matter much. Once it's their name, it will fit him.

I love Jackson and Jack but not Riley.

I don't really like using names that have become really unisex on boys because I wouldn't want anyone thinking my son is a girl. For 2008 Riley ranked #39 for girls and #106 for boys so right now it's much more commonly used for girls.

I don't think Jackson Storm sounds bad, but here are some other suggestions:
