It says its the German form?? I got it out of "The Very Best Baby Name Book In the Whole Wide World" by Bruce Lansky. They give a variety of ways to spell it with the first original one being Aric. The Scandinavian form is Eric. They give Aaric, Areck, Arick, Arik, Arric, Arrick, Arrik. So I just thought Aereck or Aareck. Naming a baby can be sooooo hard!
I am not sure what the scandinavian meaning is but the German meaning is an alternate form of Richard. Can't see why but ok.
