Well, as you can see in my ticker, we chose the name Ethan James for a boy. So now, my DH isn't too crazy about the middle name James and he wants to use his middle name, DUNBAR, instead. I can totally respect the fact that he wants to use his middle name, and it was his mom's middle name, but I don't like it AT ALL. So I need your help....

Can you please give me any suggestions for a middle name that would go with Ethan? My son is Daniel Garrett and we can't use Taylor (last name) so none of those names will work. I really want to present him some options. (I know I am only 12 weeks, but as soon as we find out what we are having, this baby will have a name!! )

Thanks for your help!!

Melissa

How about compromising with him and using 2 middle names?

Ethan James Dunbar
Ethan Dunbar James

What about using his FN as Ethan's MN? I'm not sure what his FN is though so I don't know if it will fit.

I really don't like the 2 middle names idea...
As far as going with Ethan...
that's too bad, I really like Ethan James
but here are some other possibilities:

Ethan Bryant
Ethan Joel
Ethan Bryce
Ethan Paul

I like the single syllable middle name with the 2 syllable first name.
Good luck and I hope you guys can find something you both like!!

Thanks girls for all your suggestions.

I think that he is starting to see that James is perfect as a middle name. I have been asking him to say the name every day (since he DOES think we are having a boy) so that he can get used to it. I think that James sounds so great with Ethan.

I love the name Ethan! It's the name I have picked for my 2nd son. I love the combo Ethan Michael.
