I'll be honest...we have no idea what we're looking for! lol
I can't decided if I want to go unusual, cute, trendy, traditional or what.
This makes brainstorming easy though. Here's a list of names from all different genres that we like. I'd love to hear suggestions. So far nothing just "clicks" or feels right for us.

Girl
Madison
Chloe
Ava
Norah/Nora
Natalie
Madeline
Grace
Dana

Boy
Nathan
Adam
Gabriel
Aidan
Jack
Samuel
Matthew
I would like to have some unusual boy’s names to add to the list but we haven’t found any yet…

My favorites are Nora and Adam. I have a thing for 4-letter names, and I almost used both of those names for my kids.

I love the name Ava and Grace, very pretty, classic names. For a boy I love Aidan,-I realize it had become popular,-but boy names are difficult! I would have used this name if I had a boy.

You have alot of the same girls names that made my list! What about these?
Samara (sammy)
Elianna/Eliana (Eli)
Alexia(Lexi)
Alyssa(Lyssie)

Jaden

I love Ava, Madeline, Natalie, Chloe
Don't like Dana or Grace
Like Madison alot but it is too trndy and common for me, My mom named me Jenifer in 1980. It was the number 1 name that year and I deal with Jennifer's everyday. Granted she did spell mine with one N but no one ever even notices the difference anyway. They still write it with two.. I chose Samara for our littl girl, Baby Sammy, Maybe Mara when she is older. I hope you find your perfect name!

My advice is that if nothing on this list clicks, then your name is not on this list. Names can grow on you, maybe one of them has or will, but that odd time you will find you hear or read a name and you will think :that's it! I did anyway LOL I hope you find the name you are looking for that I am sure you will know when it is right

Here's something to think about - this name will be with him/her for a lifetime. When he or she is 70 years old, and babyhood is a forgotten memory, that name will still be there.

With that in mind, what names draw you? What is your intent with the name - to evoke a feeling, to honor a relative, to simple create something pleasant to the ear?

Before you look at name books, think about your intent, and think about its lasting power. That will help direct your search more, I think.

And for the record, I liked Natalie and Nathan from your list.

Good luck!

I totally agree with mamaB. It's hard for me to imagine a 70 year old Kylee or Calli (no offense to anyone intended.)

Names are forever, and you want to pick something that you really love, and last through all stages of a childs life into adult hood.

From your list I like:
Girls: Natalie and Grace.
Boys: Nathan, Samuel, and Matthew.

I'm sure you're nothing like her. She's still e-mailing Bryan telling him she's dreaming of him and how much she loves him and wants to start a real family with him

She's married with a little boy btw.

Hmmm....Fatal Attraction! Nah, I am not like that. I was just joking about the defending thing. I am not to fond of "Dana" myself but I didnt have a say in it. So, I adapted and moved on. What's worse is my middle name is Lynne and all my family say it together "Dana Lynne". Thank God only my family do that!
