I am just curious to see where you all look to find new names?
I have spent hours on the naming sites, I've got a name book or 2, I've looked at a local hospital website and even glanced in the phone book before! LOL
Any name books that you would reccomend? Any new sites? Any other places you search to find names?

Honestly....my surroundings, if that makes sense. Most of the names I love I've either heard of from someone/something in my environment (so and so's cousin's kid, clients at work, last names, books/movies). However I do ocassionally add new names to my list that I've heard here or on nymbler.com
ETA: I also ocassionally look up names of philosophers, inventors, cities, etc. Nameberry.com is also a great site.
I've made bbay name lists before, you know as a teenager who dreampt of one day having a bunch of babies. Just names that I heard and liked. When I actually became pregnant I sorta checked out some baby name sites but nothing really came to me that felt right. Then one night I was on MSN chatting to a friend and decided to listen t some music and I liked the song I heard and looked up what the title was and what that word meant and loved it! It totally felt right and just fit me and my baby. It's not my language but a language that my baby will learn,Spanish. I'm not totally set on it yet and I'm not sure what sex my baby is either so not sure if it can be used.
Besides the usual books and sites, I love to watch the credits after a movie! I have a little notebook by the couch and if I see a name I like, I'll jot it in there

I like nymbler and behindthename. I also like The Baby Name Wizard book. Other places I find inspiration is books (non-baby names ones) and magazines or other things I read. I actually came across Alaina in my yearbook and fell in love with it!

I just seek them out in everyday life. Magazines, Movies, Radio, talking with people, browsing the web, movie credits, schools announcments, yearbooks, birth announcements, stores, etc and all my friends and family members know I love "weird" names so they'll tell me some.
Names are kind of always in the forefront of my mind when I'm making my way through my day, so that opens my eyes to seeing names/words that I might not have been able to catch if I wasn't consciously seeking them out.
For example:
I was searching the toy department at Target and a name of a game caught my eye. I'm sure I'd passed that isle and that game a hundred times before but this time I just took a moment to read the box and I stopped and thought to myself "wow, that'd make SUCH a cool boy's name" and now it's one of my favorite names.
