A hobby I enjoy hearing different names, keeping a list of my top picks. I've only got "into" baby names since becoming pregnant, I didn't have much interest before. Naming this little one was hard, but we have her name picked out now, and a backup name if she doesn't look like original name!

Kylie, a few of my friends and my sisters know I post on here. I don't think they would check up on me - but who knows.
The reason we aren't telling is because we don't really want negative opinions, in an ideal world...everyone will tell me it's a beautiful name. Plus we don't want personalised stuff, like I say we have 2 girls name in case she doesn't look like the name we picked out.
My mother was going to call me something super prissy but decided against it because I simply didn't look like one. She said Anna suited me perfectly though.
I will tell you, it isn't Isla, but I do love the name so much, and I want you to use it for your little girl!
8 weeks or so, to go! You will have to check in on me in September As I will you in November my fellow hostess. (Congrats!)

For me it's a cross between a passion and an obsession...probably more of an obsession I have been known to seriously stress over names.

It's a passion/obsession. Although I don't really care about the SSA list but I do have a general idea of where a lot of names are on the list.
I just can't help it- I love talking about names and thinking about them. I have been like this for years, even before I ever got pregnant with my first.

Obsession I am TTC and I am stressing about names already, I also love looking at the SSA but I don't mind using popular names.

I'm right there between a Passion and an Obsession. I can honestly, and without exaggeration, say that there isn't a day that goes by that I don't think about names or seek them out. Ever since I can remember I've always been interested in names...wether it was on a child, adult, or animal.

It's so cool to find other people like me out there. I haven't met anyone like "us" in real life. This forum *the baby name forum* was how I even found JM! It was so amazing to me that there was a whole forum to just talk about baby names- like a dream come true!

I voted:

But two years ago I would have voted:
An obsession. I constantly think of names...pregnant or not. I visit baby name sites daily and I have practically memorized the SSA list.
Since having Isabel, and knowing we're not having anymore children, it's become more of a hobby. I check in on this forum and browse from time to time, and I don't frequent other baby name sites like I used to. If we were still adding to our family it would probably still be an obsession

Haha, this is me, too! I'm baby-less, and yet Ive always loved thinking about/making lists of baby names. I'm always the one asking strangers what their baby's name is !!

I fit in w/ the borderline obsession people.
My love for names goes all the way back to when I got my first cabbage patch doll and had to pick a name for her. After that I was hooked! Always curious about peoples names. I don't think I'll ever change.
I also found JM by searching for baby name forums.
