About the name Ellie for a girl? What about using it as a double name? (Ellie Kate)

I think it's super cute, but I won't personally use it as a full first name, rather as a nickname to something longer, i.e. Elliana, Elizabeth, etc.

I think it's pretty but agree that it seems kind of nicknamey. I do like Elle though.

Ditto to the above posters- it's cute but I prefer it as a nickname for a more formal name.. Eliana is my favorite.

I think it is darling!

But I agree, I prefer Ellie as a nn. Even for Elle (), which seems more complete, or Anna offered some great suggestions.

I love the name Ellie. I've always known it as a nn, though.. I have a friend Ellie who's full name is Leanna.
