Hello!! I am Jessica from the Dec DDC and having a difficult time with picking a name for our bugaboo. We thought we were having a boy and named "him" Cash Isaac which we were IN LOVE WITH. Turns out, we are having a girl and a heck of a time picking ANY name.

So, I would love honest thoughts on the girl name "Harlow". What do you think of when you hear it? Obviously, we like names that are a little less traditional and more unique. But, I would just like to know what others are thinking when they hear it because we are not telling anyone IRL the name until our baby is born. Thanks for you help!!!

Congrats on expecting a girl! I agree, the name Cash Isaac is really cool. Darn!

I LOVE Harlow. I think because it is different and not the usual ella/isabella/etc/whatever (though I adore the name isabella, lol). What are you thinking for the middle name?

I like Harlow... one of the few trendier girl names that I am on board with I like it paired with a more traditional mn. I also like the name Harper for a girl, which is kind of similar.

I think Harlow is a beautiful name! I also like Harper.

I have a cousin named Cash. His sister's name is Capri.

We also like Harper, but divulged our girl's short list (Harper, Sloan and Quinn, none are popping out to us anymore) after we knew we are having a boy. Like I said, he's not a boy after all, so we already spilled the beans on Harper and got some semi-serious comments from cousin who laid claim to "Harper". Of course, she isn't even pregnant or married but swears she wants to name her daughter "Harper".

I think Harlow is so similar it would kind of defeat the point of letting her have Harper, but oh well. I can't plan on her still loving that name, having a baby, and having a girl...ya know??

I'm not a fan of Harlow. There are plenty of nontraditional and unique names that I like, but I can't get into Harlow.

I LOVE Quinn!

I personally ADORE Harlow. I was afraid after Nicole Richie used the name it would become much too popular but I haven't seen very much of it around where I live anyway.
I've heard people say they dislike it because it reminds them of "Harlot" but while I see the reasoning behind that, it didn't remind me of it until someone mentioned it...and I still love the name.
I think it IS similar to Harper, however it ISN'T Harper, which means ultimately it would be up to her whether or not she found the names too alike.

I prefer Harper. Harlow does sound like "harlot" when said. Harlow is one of those names I really like how it looks written but I don't care for it as a real name for a person.

I think Harlow is nice, and would be a great name for a sister to Cash if you ever do have a little boy (and if you still like Cash then!). Quinn is my favorite from your list though

I really like it. It was on our short list but we went with Harper for our daughter.

I like Quinn the best actually too, but her middle name is my maiden name (which is also now my legal middle name so I don't really want to change her middle name) and our last name both have the "K" sound. Add in Quinn and you get a "Qu" "K" "k". IMO, that is too much Kaaaa sounds!

AHHH is this child ever gonna have a name???

I love Harlow, but I can't help but associate it with Nicole Ritchie.
