I love Brinley (prefer this spelling) and I also wonder if it will age well. I think it will age as well as any of the other "ley" names...she could also go by Brynn which seems a little more "mature".

I guess we'll find out in 30 more years

But really, 30 years ago... could they see Ashley and Britney as names on adults? Times change. There are tons of adults with these names, and no one thinks anything of it now. They're just the names of that time.

I like the name but spelled Brinley/Brinlee. I do agree she could go by Brynn as she gets older.

If our DS Brin came out a girl, he was going to be Brynn.

I love this name! I like several different spellings. I also wonder about the maturing/age thing, but think it will be okay.

Avery and Brynlee are super cute together!

I like it. She could always go by Bryn if she wanted.

My daughters middle name is Brinley. As a first name your DD could go by Brin/Brynn if it felt to child-like to be called Brinley.

I always think it's funny when people wonder if things age well cause to me lots of old peoples names(I was a nurse in a nursing home) that I came across were names I imagined only for a little girl but they always seem to pull it off well even with grey hair & a wheel chair!
I think this day & age anything is fair game and there are so many new. unique, & strange names that are being used that aging well is probably less of a concern anymore.

Good luck! & it is a great name

I agree with what Erica had to say. I think names that are a bit towards the trendy/unique side will age just as well now as names that were trendy/unique in the past.

Ditto this! I cannot picture Grandma Ashley or Grandma Britney but there are going to be lots of them soon!
