We are expecting twin boys in December. Baby A will be Jonah Christopher, but we're have the hardest time naming his brother!

We have used a few names on a trial basis, but can't seem to settle on one. His middle names will definitely be Michael Leo, after his grandfathers.

I like Jacob and Ethan, but I don't know that I like "Jacob & Jonah" or "Jake & Jonah" together. I like how Ethan sounds with Jonah, but then I think that maybe I don't want a super-trendy name (also, a good friend of mine is expecting twin boys in a few weeks and, while she hasn't revealed her names, I have a feeling Ethan may be one of them).

Today I found the name Beckett, and I kinda like it!

The boys will take my husband's last name, Mudd (I really liked the name Grayson, but I don't think I'd make my child be "Gray Mudd" haha).

Anyway, can I get some thoughts from you ladies?

I like Jacob because its another biblical name.. but I don't like Jacob & Jonah together either. Ethan is really popular so my vote goes to Beckett, I like it too!

My vote goes with Beckett, although I would prefer a second name that was biblical to go with Jonah. Here are a few:

Gabriel (Gabe)
Peter
Andrew
Eli/Elijah/Elisha
Evan
Justus (I actually REALLY like this one with Jonah!)
Simon
Nathan/Nathaniel
Caleb

I like Jacob too, but the whole "Jacob & Jonah" would bother me.

I like Beckett too, but it isn't of the same style as Jonah.

I voted for Ethan. I like the name and it goes well with Jonah.

I'd try to pick another biblical name to go with Jonah.

"Jonah and Elijah/Eli" sounds really good together. They both end in the -uh syllable but they start differently and have a different number of syllables - making them not too matchy-match, especially if Elijah most often goes by Eli.

Caleb would be a good alternative to Jacob.

A few more biblical suggestions:

Aaron
Abram
Ezekiel
Isaac
Isaiah
Jeremiah
Levi
Malachi
Samson or Samuel
Seth
Zachary

I like Jacob, but not Jacob & Jonah....

I like Beckett, but don't think it sounds right with Jonah...

Ethan & Jonah sound good together

.... but i chose 'other' - because I liked Janna's suggestion of Elijah/Eli!

Since Jonah has one middle name how about using Micah Leo that way you still in a way have michael and leo?

I like Micah Leo as well! I woudn't want one twin to have two mn's and the other only one. Leo Michael is a fine name too - and sounds better than Michael Leo (Michael ends in L and Leo starts with L..so they don't flow too well). If you are set on those three choices my vote goes to Beckett!

Other ideas:
Jonah and Henry
Jonah and Noah
Jonah and Abram
Jonah and Levi
Jonah and Isaiah
Jonah and Isaac
Jonah and Adam

Personally, I don't like Beckett with Jonah at all. They really clash. From other suggestions, my favorite is Jonah and Levi. Of yours, Jonah and Jacob. Same letter is very common with twins, so no one would think it is weird.

Of the names you listed I think I like Jacob best...I'm not a fan of "matchy" twin names but I think Ethan sounds too trendy with Jonah and Beckett sounds too uncommon. I like that Jacob and Jonah are both Biblical.

I ditto all of the names that Janna (mommoncloud9) and mlbsnb suggested. I also love Asher with Jonah.
