So far i have two children from me and my DH. Our two year old we names Elizabeth Quinn however we were going to name her Scarlett and got gun shy and picked a different name at the hospital after she was born and in the end just still called her Scarlett.

Our little boy DH wanted to name him after himself however there are not good nick names for Wayne and I was so savvy on the trey/trace/junior names so we named him Bla Bla Bla the Third and we picked Beau to call him.

The runner up name I love is Cade and the girl name I love is Viviann (Vivi means life and after three lossses that was appealing to me) Now Cade and Viviann are both nods back to a theme that seems to be developing here.

So If if i show up in yout plat room with Scarlett, Beau, Cade and Viviann does it scream "Gone With the Wind" to you? Or am I cool as long as I don't use Rhett, Ashley or Melanie?

I have't seen the movie, so I can't help, but they sound pretty good together. Cade doesn't seem to me to have the same classic feel as the others though.

I wouldn't think Gone With The Wind immediately.

Nope, wouldn't immediately think Gone with the Wind... the movie is an older classic that lots of people wouldn't have seen, so I think you're good.

I picked up on it, but that's because I'm a HUGE GWTW fan. Otherwise, I think it works well. You're using less obvious names, so don't worry about it.

BTW, Rhett was on my list, but DH said no since he knows where it came from. lol

I've seen the movie, more than once, and didn't even pick up on the trend until you mentioned the movie.

You could try spelling it Vivienne. It's different from the movie, and sometimes that throws people off of connections like that!

Scarlett & Beau...people might possibly make the connection...maybe even Viviann but I don't think so at all with Cade. I think you're good.

Cade's name will be Joseph Cade but there are too many Joes in in our lives to call him Joe or Joseph. I also think Joesph Cade Mortimore sounds better than Cade Joseph Mortimore.

How does Cade tie in with GWTW?

Cade (Calvert) is actually mentioned in the book page 26 as one of Scarlett's admires and in the movie it is an uncredited roll. I was not aware of it until i read "Baby Name Wizard" then looked it up. Because honestly I had no clue until like a month ago.

I haven't seen Gone With the Wind, but I do understand the Scarlett, Vivian, and Beau thing. I doubt others will make the connection unless they are diehard GWTW fans (like I would recognize Dorothy, Em, Hickory, and Zeke lol). And Cade kinda throws a monkey wrench into it, it doesn't have that "classic timeless" feel (not to knock it). I think they sound fine together.
