We keep getting that deep thought look when we share our front runner for a girl name, so I am worried she may not like it either. What do you ladies honestly think? Please share any thoughts!

We like:

Bria Annaleigh (bree-uh on-a-lee)
OR
Bria Annalise (bree-uh on-a-leese)

We like Analeigh which is more true to the way it's pronounced, but a friend pointed out that the first four letters are ANAL. Good point!

Just a note, my cousin (always called my sister) passed away the day I found out I was pregnant. Her name was Brittany Leigh. Hence the "Bri" and the Leigh. DH likes Anna names, so we put it together. Also, our last name is Cardenas, so we can't do a long first name either or it will be a mouthful and she won't be able to write it for years!

What do you think?

I like both. I do like Annalise better but I would go with Annaleigh to honor your cousin.

I like the name Bria and like both of your combos, but agree with the others that I would go with Bria Annaleigh for your cousin.

I think Bria Annaliese Cardenas sounds better, but both work.

I wouldn't worry about the 'Anal' in a middle name.

I think it is such a pretty name. People sometimes just need time to soak up a new name combo especially when they are names that are not the common sounding.

I really really like the Ana spelling. For a middle I would go with it.

I think no matter where you go or who you tell SOMEONE is going to not necessarily 'like or love' the name you pick for your baby because its not what 'they' would pick.

I love both but I like Bria Annaleigh better and I think it honors your cousin 'more'... wonderful names!!

Bria Annaleigh flows better with your last name IMO, and I love the meaning behind the name! Very pretty.

Thanks ladies!! I'm glad I'm not the only one who likes Bria! I'm still torn, and you guys are pretty split on the middle name too. I love them both. Maybe I'll let DH decide and not worry about it anymore. I also agree...I like the Analeigh/Analise spelling better than two N's. I never would have noticed the "Anal" thing had my friend not pointed it out, and I doubt anyone else will notice either!

What about Annelise Brittany? That way you could actually stay true to your sister (me and my cousin are the same way, always "sisters" never "cousins"), and you may also stop getting those "deep in thought, what-do-I-say-to-that" looks.

lurking grandma here ...i think bria is lovely. and i like both choices for a middle name. building on the post above, you could go with brittany annaleise(leigh) but call her bria for every day.

I like Bria Annaleigh - The thing that trips it up to me is the repeating "uh" Sound:
Bria Annaleigh

It's cute though.

Other suggestions if you're still looking -

Bri/Leigh names:
Brileigh
Brinleigh
Everleigh
Kimberleigh
Amberleigh
Rileigh

Anna/Ana names:
Jordana
Juliana
Aubriana
Ariana
Hannah
Illeana

Bri and Ana make
Briana

Combing those, I like

Briana Rileigh
Briana Kimberleigh
Brinleigh Annaleise
Brinleigh Jordana
Brinleigh Juliana
Brinleigh Illeana
Everleigh Briana
Amberleigh Hannah
Rileigh Briana

Keeping Bria, the following combos would eliminate the "uh" repeat

Bria Jordana
Bria LeAnna
Bria Rileigh
Bria Kimberleigh

Good luck!

Also just thought of Baileigh which has the B like Britney and the Leigh
