What kind of style do you classify Zane?
How do you imagine a person named Zane?
Do you think it ages well?
Do you think it feels as popular as it is (#235)?

I'm pretty sure Zane is the frontrunner if our next is a boy. It's been on my list since I was pregnant with Blaise and I just kind of forgot about it. Dh & I both like it a lot. I think it matches perfectly with Blaise in style...I just hate that it's so high (or low?) on the SSA chart...but it has held steady in the mid-200s for the last 10 years.

What kind of style do you classify Zane? Modern.
How do you imagine a person named Zane? Yes, it's quite popular here in the U.K.
Do you think it ages well? Depends what he does in life. I couldn't imagine a lawyer or doctor called Zane.
Do you think it feels as popular as it is (#235)? I know a few but I know a few Blaise's too (two boys and one girl)

ETA: I love the name Zane

What kind of style do you classify Zane?
I guess I'd classify Zane as on-trend, without being super popular.

How do you imagine a person named Zane?
I've had two boys named Zane/Zain at school and both boys were incredibly sweet.
I imagine Zane as a well mannered kid with a good personality.

Do you think it ages well?
I think most names "grow" with the child.

Do you think it feels as popular as it is (#235)?
I hate the idea of strapping my kid with a "popular" name,
but if I truly loved a name I'd probably still use it.
Two of my top three boy names are in the top 300 names,
(Ezra #259 and Jasper #337) and though that sort of upsets me,
I'm IN LOVE with those names and would more than likely still use them.

I really like Zane as a brother to Blaise - what a fun and cool set!

How do you imagine a person named Zane? I don't know anyone named Zane but to me it brings to mind someone well-rounded, an athletic but artist person.
Do you think it ages well? Yes
Do you think it feels as popular as it is (#235)? I don't know any so no. Alaina has been hanging out in the mid-200's for the past few years and we have yet to meet another one.

-I really like Zane as a brother to Blaise.

Right now our frontrunners are Zane, Reed & Teague. I love Teague but it is lowest on my list because a) Teague Gregory doesn't flow the best and b) I sometimes find it awkward to say Teague.

Reed & Zane are our two favorites and I just feel that Zane has a spunkier feel and style closest to Blaise. To my dismay it is also the most popular but I'm working on getting over that issue

I love the name Zane. I think it's a modern name without the trendy feel as other names. I see it on a spunky little boy and I think it will age well.

I love Blaise & Zane together!

I like Zane the best of your three front runners. It sounds spunky, and I would classify it as modern but not super trendy. I think it has the potential to age well. I've known three Zane's, all spelled differently: Zayn, Zane, Zain. They were all super energetic and intelligent with a strong sense of humor.

As for popularity, I personally would be fine with anything below the top 100. You're not going to be running the risk of 8 or 9 Zane's running around in the same grade at school with the ranking it has, and if he meets one or two others as he's growing up, to me that's not a big deal. The important thing is to truly love the names you give your children, IMO.

I think of Zane as a frontier/western name. Like the western author Zane Grey. I love western movies and books, and Zane was a popular name back then. I also like the new spellings of the name in this age as quoted above. Zayne, that sounds so cool.
