Well, we found out that we're having a boy. The only name I really like, that's really clicked so far is Kyler. Thing is, my DH's name is Tyler. Is this going to be too close? Is it any different then 'junior'ing your child?

I personally think it is too close. How does your DH feel about it?

Well the way he sees it, we have a niece named Rylin and her dad is Ryan so he doesn't really see the issue. I'm the one with the problem. I love the name so much, but I know how it is to grow up with a sibling with a close name. My sister's name is Johnna and when yelled across the house it sounds incredibly close to Hannah.

it is pretty close but doable. My dad is Carl and I'm Carly and we never really had an issue.

Does your DH go by Ty or Tyler? If one went by a full name and one went by a nn, they wouldn't seem quite as close.

He goes by both pretty equally. His actual name is Clifton but he goes by Tyler since it's his middle name.

I think it's fine, it's an entirely different name than Kyler. If that's what you like, use it :-) Chances are, you call him honey or some other name anyway lol.

I think it would be too similar sounding. People will probably call the two by each others names a lot. That happens with me and DD sometimes on DH's side of the family. Her name is Adelyn and mine is Adrienne and they are always mixing up our names. No one else does though

It's too close for me, personally, but if you like it - go for it! It's important to choose a name you love.

Lol, you wanna know something silly? I didn't even realize it was my husbands name with a K instead of a T until he pointed it out to me. Hmm. I'll have to think on it some more.
