I've posted before about using the name Mack for DS expected in early December. We were supposed to use it for our last son, and changed it after he was born. I had promised DH we would use it on the next boy. Problem is, I've never warmed up to the name, neither with the last pregnancy or this one...I will only call him "the baby". First question...would you go ahead and use the name? It's not a bad name, I just have never really liked it.
DH agreed over the weekend to look at other options.

I am having the hardest time...and only have a few weeks left!

We definitely want a one-syllable first name to stay in line with our sibset and it can't be too popular.

Here are some of our ideas...but I definitely need input!

Colby---our fave so far
Cole
Ace
Drew
Zack
Pete
Slade
Cale/Kale
Holt

MN ideas are:
Remington
Everette
Oliver
Denver
Sawyer

Please ladies, any input will help!

I like Mack! If we didn't have a Mc last name I would have gone with Malcolm and called him Mac.

Have you considered Jack?

I like Cole second best!

I like Andrew Sawyer and you could call him Drew.

Love Drew, but only as a nn for Andrew. If you were going to go with Andrew, I'd pick Andrew Sawyer. If you were going to use on of the fn's on your list as the GIVEN name instead of the nn, I would choose Cole Everett (spelled this way). Good luck!

Thanks for everyone's input!
I know Colby isn't one-syllable...but I can look past that because I like it so much. DH said he liked it when I first told him, so we may try to work with that with one of our middle names we had in mind.

I like Cole, but dear friends of ours has a son that name...even though he's 16...I try not to repeat friends' childrens' names.
