So we decided last week to go with DH's choice of Cadence for baby girls name....I could not stand waiting anymore and just caved. I did like the name though but it wasn't my first choice, or second.

Well we told everyone and no one in either of our familes could figure it out, it's been crazy listening to them try and pronounce it. You wouldnt believe the names they've said instead. "Cada" "Candice" "Caden" My entire family is in FL, his entire family is in WI so it's not cultural/accents. All of his co-workers are from NY and they've butchered it too lol
Never thought it'd be an issue but apparently its a "hard" name to say? or Figure out?
lol

So DH wants nothing to do with the name now, eventhough I've already made the letters for her wall and our 2yo can say it.

So he wants to go back to Kennedy ..... we are running out of time!

We thought if she didnt like it, or wanted a nickname...obviously you dont really get one from Kennedy then we could do KC or KD .....do you have any ideas that would go with this?

To be honest, I don't really like the sound of C or D mn's with Kennedy as a fn, since there would be repeating sounds. You could give her the nn Kenna... or you could stick with Cadence and call her Caty/Cadie.

I know you guys were tossing around the idea of spelling it Kaydence....maybe people would be more likely to pronounce it correctly if it is spelled this way? I still have no clue why people are having a hard time with it! Oh well...I think Kennedy goes better with Parker anyway

Kennedy Claire
Kennedy Christine
Kennedy Charlotte
Kennedy Chase
Kennedy Celeste
Kennedy Cecilia
Kennedy Catherine
Kennedy Cheyenne

I don't really like any D names for girls. What about KP?

Kennedy Paige
Kennedy Payton
Kennedy Piper
Kennedy Perrin

I like Edie (like the character that used to be on desperate housewives) as a nn for Kennedy.

Kennedy Claire is nice if you went the KC route! I like the repeating sound.

I like the Kennedy Cheyenne suggestion since it flows so well and it doesn't repeat the K sounds
