It looks like one of those Desilu/Brangelina names--does that make sense?? I mean, it looks like a combination of two names like Sonny and Janet. It's nms... don't mean no harm...

I would never be offended....don't worry about it! As I've said on here before, I'm done having children so these aren't names I've used or ever will, I just enjoy names and especially new ones I haven't seen or heard before!

To me, Sonnet is a word name - since a sonnet is a type of poem.

It's nmsaa. It isn't "pretty" sounding to me, if that makes sense. I like more feminine sounding names. If I was going for an artsy name (which is what I think of Sonnet as), I would probably choose Aria.

I actually think it's neat...but only as a middle name - maybe for someone who loves poetry?

I would like it on someone else's child, but not something I would use.

I like Sonnet. I think it's feminine without being stuffy or predictable.

If the poetry theme is what they are after I'd rather name go with Poet.

I think it would make a great middle name for someone else, but I wouldn't use it. It's actual sound is kind of flat for my taste.
