I really like O'neil. I have never thought of it as a first name but I like it now that I have.

I like it, but I don't think that I could actually use it. I can't think of a last name that it would work well with. Well maybe Smith or something... Plus I wonder how many Shaq comments would be made.

I actually kind of like it, it reminds me of the clothing company. I like just Neil too.

I think it would make a better middle name & I wouldn't use it personally, however if I met you & you told me your son was named O'neil I would probably find it extremely cool.

It's an Irish surname. I just can not see it up front. I mean, O'Hara, O'Reilly, O'Grady? I guess I just don't think the O thing makes for a good first name. As a family name in the middle? Sure.

I just don't see it as a fn. As a mn it would be cool, though.

The first thing I thought of was the Biggest Loser contestant, O'Neil. He and his daughter Sunshine were on the show a couple seasons back.
