I think it goes well with Blaise.. they're both one syllable, unique names.. but anytime I say it I think of it being a nickname for Alexis/Alexa since I knew one.

I really like Lex. I definitely like it with Blaise! It has a little edge to it just like Blaise. I think in this day & age anything goes, names have evolved so much that Lex could be a stand alone name for a boy.

I agree with most others. I like it and it sounds good with Blaise, but I prefer it as a nn.

It looks like a nickname, and if you hadn't used blue, I wouldn't have known if it was for a boy or a girl. It could be short for Alexander, Alexandra, Alexa, or Alexis.

As a stand alone name I think it would really only work for a boy. I agree with the others...it's more like a nn...

I love it! I used to nanny for a little boy called Lex. His first name was Alexander but I never saw him as that. I thought Lex was a cool, unique name and it really suited him.

I think it goes great with Blaise!
