Do you consider these to be the same name?
Wdyt of it?
Which spelling do you prefer?
Does it feel popular to you? (currently #319/546 on the SSA list)

and of course, how do you think it sounds with Blaise If we have a boy next, it could be our last child and then we would not get to use the middle name James (which honors both mine and DH's maternal grandfather's who have passed away)....so I was thinking we could still honor them by using the first name Jameson/Jamison

I LOVE the name Jameson/Jamison. It would SO be my #1 boy name if I didn't have a relationship right before DH with a guy whos last name was Jamison
I envy those who get to use the name because I adore it. I think it will rise in popularity but I do not think it will become anything too crazy popular. I think it sounds fine with Blaise & is a nice way of incorporating James for your special meaning.

Love it!! I prefer it spelled Jameson, and think it would be an excellent choice to honor a James.

I like it spelled Jamison but for your purposes Jameson would probably be better.

I love Jameson!

I like that spelling the best....and think it sounds great with Blaise. I have never met anyone named Jameson, so I wouldn't consider it too popular although I am seeing it more and more.

I pronounce it jame-i-son or james-son fast.

I love the name spelled either way, and it took a while for us to decide on the "i" spelling for DS#2. We would've gone either way, and I honestly can't remember now why we went with the "i" over the "e". Either way I love it! I think Jameson would be great for honoring the name James.

...Oh, and I think it sounds great with Blaise.

I love it! And I love it for you (almost as much as I love Teague ). I prefer the Jameson sp especially as you want to use it in honour of James. I also think it rocks with Blaise.

I know quite a few people with the last name of Jameson/Jamison...so it only has last name status for me.

I'm going to have to disagree with everyone else. I don't really like the name but I don't really like the -son trend in boys names, so it's just not my style. A few more things that I throw me off is it is the name of a whiskey and P!nk said that it is her #1 boy pick. So I guess there's nothing about the name itself that I dislike, just everything I link it to, KWIM?

I like it. I think it sounds great with Blaise. I like it best spelled Jamison, but I think for you, Jameson is the way to go.

Do you consider these to be the same name? I do. Although I bet many people would pronounce Jameson with 2 syllables and Jamison with 3 syllables.
Wdyt of it? I really like the name.
Which spelling do you prefer? Jamison, but since you're honorning a James, Jameson is probably better
Does it feel popular to you? (currently #319/546 on the SSA list) No, I don't think it's popular at all. 319/546 is pretty low on the list and I've only known of (co-worker's son) one Jamison who was named after his dad James/Jim

and of course, how do you think it sounds with Blaise? I don't think of them as the same style. They don't go badly together, but I think you've considered many other names that go much better with Blaise in a sibset.

I love Jameson (prefer this spelling). It is my mothers maiden name, and Ive always planned on using it in some way. It is pronounced (for my family, at least) the same as Jamison, three syllables.

Outside of my family, I have never met any child with this name, it does not feel popular to me at all.

I think it sounds nice with Blaise, and is a fantastic way to honor a James.
