Macie?

I'm not sure how I feel about the name, but I looked up meanings and I guess it's a female version of Matthew. I like this part of it as BF's name is Matthew. Any opinions welcome.

It's okay, a little too trendy/modern for my personal taste, but a perfectly fine name for someone else's child.

It's cute -- I probably wouldn't use it because it seems really popular where I live (although with lots of different spellings.) I like the meaning behind it though....If you like it use it!

Macie is cute, though it reminds me of the department store chain, Macy's.

It's not a female version of Matthew, though:

MACIE
Gender:
Feminine
Usage:
English
Pronounced:
MAY-see [key]
Variant of MACY

MACY
Gender:
Feminine
Usage: English
Pronounced: MAY-see [key]
From an English surname, originally a Norman French place name, which meant "domain belonging to Maccius". This is the name of a chain of American department stores founded by Rowland Hussey Macy (1822-1877).

I think it's cute. Just a suggestion, Mattea is a female version of Matthew.
